being down

topic posted Wed, December 7, 2005 - 4:09 PM by  Lori
You know you are down or depressed about things in your world when you start getting lazy about taking your meds and don't even give a damn if you have a siezure or not...My seizures are very much under control now for the first time in my life these past 2 years at age 41 (born with it) and I'm not upset at all currently about the epilepsy at all.

I'm just down about some other stuff in my life and I am VERY worried deep down that my current atate of 'I don't care' is going to come back to bite me in the butt.

*sigh*

i know exactly how you're feeling. my medications are working very very well since first i developed epilepsy. and in the past few days even i look at the clock and don't bother. but indeed somewhere inside im scared that i'll have a seizure due to my chosen carelessness. also it makes it easier when i dont call in my refills on time...which ive been doing for two months now...

hi guys - just found this tribe and thought it might be a good resource...my son has epilepsy, which was not diagnosed until he started having grand mal seizures at the age of 17 (he's 26 now) - he had been having "absence seizures" for years.
He has tried a number of drugs and is now having very good results with lamictal...
